Roan Isaac Zamudio, 30 EBest students..thank you Eat Bulaga

Filipinos are very talented and its common to hear a Pinoy enjoying videoke at the local bar or in the comfort of his own home whatever time of day (or night). Talent shows abound in local networks and a favorite noontime show is Eat Bulaga which a few days ago “discovered” (thank you so much!) on their segment “Barangay Singing Idol” Roan Isaac Zamudio (Luzon champion).

Roan is only five years old and he’s been helping his family earn thru joining singing contests. I sure do wish by sheer fate or luck he’ll get a chance to make it big like Charice Pempengco..calling Ellen Degeneres, Simon Fuller or Oprah Winfrey! I mean really the kid’s got an amazing talent coupled with a big heart.

Click here to see his awesome performance: Roan Isaac Zamudio. So, was that incredible or what?

Eat Bulaga also has a segment “EBest – Eat Bulaga’s Excellent Student Awards” wherein thirty (30) underpriveleged but academically exceptional students will be given the chance to continue their education plus a lot more. The culmination will be on the 23rd of May (Saturday).

It will be productive in the cultural aspect if only our government provide funds for these talented individulas who obviously can be a source of pride for our nation. Enough of the “walkouts” in sessions, “sex scandals”, etc. let’s focus on the real problems and implement positive solutions. Times like these the Marcos era in terms of the cultural aspect is greatly missed. Don’t get me wrong Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao is good..but we need more “jems” in varied areas of interests and they are around just waiting for a chance.

Oh well, here’s hoping for the best..Godbless and Cheers! =]

I love “Bob the Builder” and wish for local tv networks to procure “Shaun the Sheep” please?

Recently, my sis and I frequently watch “Bob the Builder” on TV5, a local channel. I know its quite child-ish/like but hey, its entertaining! As they say laughter keeps the doctor away so why not! Its shown early in the morning and again in the afternoon but no replays so far.

Anyhoo, we (moi sis and I) actually wish TV5 or anyfree local network to have “Shaun the Sheep” even if its “tagalized” (translated into Tagalog). Its cleverly written and hilariously addicting! Last New Year’s party 2008 our family watched it on cable right after the party..pure fun and laughter ensued!

I highly recommend everyone to watch both even if it be on TV5, cable or YouTube! Just try an episode and you’ll see what I mean!
