Though am not as hardcore about NBA now as I was “Shaq”-eons ago (heck I even lurve him on Space Jam), the chance to watch this docu-flick about NBA supahstar LeBron James and four of his buddies way before their stars have blinded us was a real treat!

Astro Boy..teaches us to be “more human”

No spoilers here because as with the other 2009 computer-animated 3-D flicks I have highly recommended for families..yes, this is  definitely on the list. As with Battle for Terra, this flick teaches us compassion and acceptance of our differences albeit the characters are “aliens” and/or “robots”, the settings are sci-fi..yes, it teaches us to be more “human”.

I admit I was drawn to tears on the father-and-son scene and had to excuse myself to recompose..I miss my father and he wasn’t really home that much too. Well, c’est la vie! Continue Reading »
