The Princess and the Frog is a 2009 American animated family film loosely based on E. D. Baker’s novel The Frog Princess, which was in turn inspired by the Grimm brothers’ fairy tale “The Frog Prince”.

A fairy tale set in Jazz Age-era New Orleans and centered on a young girl named Princess Tiana and her fateful kiss with a frog prince who desperately wants to be human again.

No spoilers here! Truly a kid’s flick, entertaining, great animation and music..just pure fun the ole Disney way!

An adaptation of a 1963 children’s picture book by American writer and illustrator Maurice Sendak’s, where Max, a disobedient little boy sent to bed without his supper, creates his own world–a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.

The original concept for the book featured horses instead of monsters, was banned in libraries, and makes use of the psychoanalytic story of anger. The 2009 dark adaptation is clearly not for children below 13 years of age. Though the main caharacter is only nine years old, the “sadness”, “rage” in this flick might cause bewilderment/confusion and leave a bitter taste in the mouth.

*The wild things: Ira (voice: Forest Whitaker), Carol, Douglas (voice: Chris Cooper), the bull, Judith (voice: Catherine O’Hara), and Alexander (voice: Paul Dano). K.W. (voice: Lauren Ambrose) is missing; she’s gone to hang out with other friends, apparently after a disagreement.

Darren Shan 16, meets a Vampire at a freak show. After a series of events Darren leaves his normal life and went on the road with the Cirque Du Freak as a Vampire.

2009 film adaptation of the first three books of the book series The Saga of Darren Shan by author Darren Shan. Vampires are portrayed here as slow-aging, can stand the sun but burns easily..none of the usual Bela Lugosi or Brad Pitt type of vampires of late flicks.

“Freaked” me out a bit because of the prosthetics, but heck that’s why you watch such flicks ei?! Reminded me of the flick “Bettlejuice” with a cross-referrence to “A Nightmare before Christmas”; was entertained but not raving for it.

Based on a children’s book written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett, which focuses on a town where food falls from the sky like rain. The flick focuses on the origins of Chewandswallow’s weather.

Bill Hader and Anna Faris lended their voices to the two lead characters. Hader voices Flint Lockwood, “a young inventor who dreams of creating something that will improve everyone’s life.” Faris provides the voice for Sam Sparks, “a weathergirl covering the phenomenon who hides her intelligence behind a perky exterior.”

It’s truly a kid’s flick meant to be watched with the whole family. The graphics/animation/effects are really excellent..will definitely make you crazy hungry too hehe!
