Of MRT glitches, Traffic and the frustration of missing the Binalot (Dahon Community) trip

March302009002-1

It’s 9:46am and I’m in a netshop venting out my morning frustration. Left the house before 7am and the traffic going to MRT Quezon Avenue was already a hint..7:45am I texted/advised blogger-friends that I might miss the 8:15am call time for Binalot (Dahon Community) but I’m on my way for sure. 8:06am, at the MRT station the escalator was under repair so I waited in line for the lift and texted blogger-friends again..they said the service wasn’t there yet since it will be coming from Villamor. I breathe easily too soon for when I alighted the lift, a long zigzag line of MRT passengers greeted me. Quickly went back down and boarded a cab instead and texted blogger-friends again as an update. I don’t know what’s with this day but the traffic along EDSA or any shortcuts for that matter is just as slow as a bum snail. 8:30am I was still in the Crame area and by 8:49am blogger-friends texted they’ll still wait for me. At 8:51am I got a call that they’ll go ahead..very frustrating!

The cab driver was so considerate to offer he’ll take me to wherever it is possible so that I can catch up with the group at no extra charge but I said we should just turn back. My family always has this belief that glitches happen because maybe it was not meant to be..oh well, I tried (very hard). Also as added consolation, the cab driver gave me a huge discount (God bless his soul).

This isn’t a rant post just an outlet of my frustration this morning. I hope and pray the Charlie Green presscon and concert later will prove to be better. Toodles, back to the clinic/legal office (they’ll surely be surprised!)

Cheers and God bless positive peeps! =]

Starbucks Coffee Tasting Seminar: Guatemala Casi Cielo and Caffe Verona

starbs

“Coffee”, just that word and I’m hooked! A “Love”-ly person e-mailed and reserved slots for me and my sister for a delightful coffee tasting seminar at Starbucks last weekend.  They featured Guatemala Casi Cielo and Caffe Verona plus the company’s commitment to ethically source coffee through Shared Planet.

caffe verona

*Cafe Verona - roasty, sweet; low acidity, full body; a blend of coffees from four farms in the Antigua Region; complex and a multi-region blend (Latin America and Asia/Pacific with Italian Roast; a post-roast blendto bring out all the four coffee flavours.
