Mark Kramer, a Harvard Professor and social responsibility expert, was the main speaker during the Creating Shared Value (CSV) Forum held last April 23, 2010. He challenged  corporations and society stakeholders plus the government, NGOs and aid agencies, to venture in a collaboration of mutual benefit.   It was a challenge that sparked the praise and positive action of members of the business community, government, aid agencies, non-governmental organizations and other sectors of society present at the event. Grown Ups: Childhood Friends reunite (2010)

Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider head up an all-star comedy cast in Columbia Pictures’ Grown Ups, the story of five childhood friends who reunite thirty years later to meet each others’ families for the first time.  When their beloved former basketball coach dies, they return to their home town to spend the summer at the lake house where they celebrated their championship years earlier.

Sandler came up with the idea of a guy who feels like he and his family have lost their perspective of what’s important in life. So, when he unexpectedly has to go back to his home town, he decides to use it as an opportunity to get back to his roots and get his family on the right track. MRS. A’s OPUS: A celebration of Prof. Carmencita Guanzon Arambulo’s 50th anniversary of teaching at St. Paul University

Renowned music professor Carmencita Guanzon Arambulo has several reasons to be happy. Throughout five decades of guidance, dedication, and passion for excellence in her musical craft, “ Mrs. A”, (a nickname coined by her students) has launched many a musical career spanning several generations.

To celebrate her 50th anniversary of teaching, St. Paul University Manila, Mrs. A’s alma mater, in cooperation with her own Greenhills Music Studio, presents “Mrs. A’s Opus” – a tribute concert on August 1, at five o’clock p.m. at the Fleur de Lis Auditorium of St. Paul University Manila.

For the first time in the local music concert stage, “Mrs. A’s Opus” will feature some of the country’s renowned names in the music industry who flourished under the guidance of Mrs. A. Continue Reading »
