The orchestral affiliate of 9 Works Theatrical, 9PO was formed to cater to the growing demand for professional musicians in the Philippines. Strategically called 9PO, the ”P” stands for Philharmonic, Pit and/or Pop, and represents what 9PO is capable of servicing in terms of orchestral demand. 9PO is composed of professional musicians all trained in the fields of Classical, Modern, Post-Modern, Contemporary or Popular music — from the sonorous tones of the acoustic to the high-energy flavors of the electric.

JOSEPH TOLENTINO, MUSICAL DIRECTOR/CONDUCTOR:

Currently training under the tutelage of Dr. Raul Sunico, Joseph started his education in music at the prestigious Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in New York City, where he received high honors. He also is the recipient of the Presidential Music Award accorded by President Bill Clinton.

His debut as a musical director/conductor was with 9works Theatrical’s SWEET CHARITY, where he garnered much praise and recognition from critics, peers and audiences.  He will take up the same role in 9works Theatrical’s next production, YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN on February 2012.

Aside from producing the merriment of an orchestra’s repertoire, 9PO can also service your requirements for Musical Composition and Arrangement. They can rearrange existing songs and music, or come up with original pieces to suit your needs.
