Corazon, Ang Unang Aswang is not your run-of-the-mill “aswang” film. It is a 1946-ish era film (Japanese-American/Philippine Liberation) wherein you’ll ask yourself if scenes depicted have historical and factual basis. That is of course, in relation to the story of the “aswang.”

I couldn’t agree more plus I love Erich’s “bisaya” accent..of course, coming from a kapwa bisaya!
All I can add is watch and do look forward to Erich’s “panganganak” scene which was continuously shot unintentionally during hard pouring rain..highly dramatic!

Angel (Gwen Zamora), General Manager of a Hotel who have just been transferred from Manila to Jakarta, is haunted by a weird dream about someone committing suicide.
One day, her parents, her only sister Safara, her maid, security were killed. She was shot but somehow she managed to survive.
The detective who investigates the tragedy won’t believe her story. Haunted by the incident and a weird dream that keeps coming over and over, she then decides to uncover all the mystery alone and find out the reason of what she has been going through.
