DepEd: Palarong Pambansa Program (2012)

 

The Palarong Pambansa Program is an annual multi-level national scholastic athletic competition conducted by the Department of Education and participated in by the elementary and secondary pupils / students both from public and private schools.

- It starts with the school intramural followed by the district, division, regional athletic meets and culminates in the national game known as PALARONG PAMBANSA.

- It is the laboratory of all learned / acquired knowledge, skills, attitude in the Physical Education curriculum.

- It is an avenue that provides in-school youth opportunities to improve their physical, moral, intellectual and social well-being.

- It serves as a means to promote education, health, development and peace.

ABSCBN: Promil Pre-School I-Shine Talent

Promil Pre-School I-Shine Talent, in partnership with ABS-CBN, is a TV reality show where 12 pre-schoolers will undergo thematic workshops in an effort to bring out the best of their creativity, resourcefulness and sheer talent

Who Can Join:

1. Children above 3 years old to 7 years old may join the contest

2. Children must be currently residing in the Philippines

3. Children auditioning must be physically fit to join the activities if he/she is shortlisted as one of the finalists

4. Children must not have any conflicting endorsement (milk brand)

DepEd: Brigada Eskwela 2012 (National Schools Maintenance Week) and Oplan Balik Eskwela

As part of DepEd’s announcement of school calendar for SY 2012-2013, it also included Brigada Eskwela on May 21 to 26 and Oplan Balik Eskwela from May 28 to June 8. June 9 is the start of orientation on K to 12 for parents and other stakeholders.  The first quarter examination is set on August 2 to 3 while the National Career Assesment Examination (NCAE) is on August 29.

The Department of Education will conduct the 2012 Brigada Eskwela known also as the National Schools Maintenance Week on May 21-26, 2012. A caravan on May 21 is slated for the launch.

Brigada Eskwela is a school maintenance that engages all the education stakeholders to contribute their time, effort and resources in ensuring that public school facilities are set in time for the school opening on June 04, 2012.

To strengthen the awareness on the importance of hygiene and sanitation among students, the DepEd encourages volunteers to support the improvement of toilets wash facilities.

Likewise, improving the schools of indigenous communities is encouraged. DepEd encourages the people in the community near the school and all organizations to join on the school program.

May 26, 2012 is the last day of Brigada Eskwela 2012.
