Atlantis Productions brings back Broadway’s hit Tony Award winning musical AVENUE Q to Manila from March 12 – 27, 2010 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza, Makati. AVENUE Q first premiered in Manila in 2007 and has had three sold out runs since then plus a hit run in Singapore’s Esplanade Theatre in 2008.

Tony-winning musical Avenue Q is the hilarious and heartfelt story of a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York with big dreams and little money. My exclusive interview with the cast of Romeo and Bernadette by Repertory Philippines pushed through last February 18. I arrived a couple of hours before the show, was escorted backstage then to the dressing rooms. I admit I was at wits end on what to ask and decided to just take photos. Besides, I know for a fact that actors have rituals before each performance. Mainly, the cast got their calls around October last year and the Brooklyn accent was just a breeze to learn. Anyway, I don’t have PJ Valero’s (Romeo) photo here because he came in a tad late and I don’t want to bother him while he prepares for the 8pm show..next time!) Continue Reading »
