Rei Nail Art: My sister’s experience (Part 3)

rei nail art_ate mabelle

Third of a series, here’s my sister’s (Ate Mabelle) Rei Nail Art experience! She opted for a more flambouyant colour (now I call her Goldie or Goldfingers hehe!) Same process but we noticed as you get used to it, getting Rei Nail Art is the same duration as any regular manicure. I don’t know about you girls, but a quick manicure with fabulous nail art is more than a happy treat for us..saves time while getting glitzy-glamoured!

My sister noted (as I have in my recent post) that Rei Nail Art technology aside from being fast, durable and beautiful, it does not have that ouch factor we sometimes get from regular manicures. This is especially important for people with diabetes or those with sensitive hands. We truly appreciate and admire at this nail art technology in so many ways..thank you Ms. Apet, Ms. Gelli and Ms. Trixie!

Calgel color does not chip or peel, so very intricate nail art can be done even elaboarte art ranging from leopard-print to 3D flower and heart designs. Their services include: Nail Gel Basics, French Nails, Air Brushing, Nail Gel Scuplture, Rhinestone Embellishment, Art Gradiation, and Marble Nails

Rei Nail Art: My Experience (Part 2)

rei nail art_my hands

Here it  is as promised! My fabulous Rei Nail Art experience documented from start to finish! How on earth did I do that while Akiko (nail stylist) was busy glittering my nails you’d ask? Well, I politely asked every time she adds a step in the process using my free hand hehe!

Okies, from left to right:

Photos 1 & 2: Cleaning and buffing the nails (*note: I really liked the fact that unlike regular manicures, this technology is guaranteed no ouch; in simple terms no murdered nails)

Photo 3: Calgel base (a new form of artificial nail)

Photo 4 & 5: Nail Art (really, I commend Akiko for having such talent!)

Photo 6: Another coat of Calgel (to seal and even out the nail art)

Photo 7: Hand/Nail drier (perfect for the busy kikay who needs a quick manicure!)

Photo 8: My nail art is complete!

Photo 9: Comparing it with the sample template (You can choose from a wide variety of nail art..you can add rhinstones, swarovski, embed 3D flowers, hearts, etc.)

Rei Nail Art: Gelli De Belen (Part 1)

rei nail art_gelli

Last week my sister, blogger- friend Leira and I was exclusively invited by Ms. Apet, Ms. Gelli and Ms. Trixie of Rei Nail Art located at 98 Timog Ave., corner Scout Ybardolaza St., Q. C. to try out one of the latest technology in nails straight from Japan. They just started this July and have been getting great response from kikays of all ages. They have a wide range of designs of which I have not seen in any other nail salon. Well, come to think of it, their technology is relatively new here in Manila so its a fresh take on nail art!

For Part1 I’m featuring Ms. Gelli De Belen who has graciously rushed to meet us (we came an hour early hehe!) and allowed us to document her Rei Nail Art experience. This was a re-touch because her nails already grew in length. A light cleaning and a dab of the Calgel (a new form of artificial nail) is everything you need at re-touches.

Well, now you’ve seen Ms. Gelli’s fabulous nails and her re-touch session, so for Part 2, I’ll be posting my own Rei Nail Art experience.

My Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs for 2010..(Major Major drumroll please)

I pondered for weeks on this year’s list since I met more bloggers and have made more blogger-friends whom have been really influential in certain aspects of my life. I dare say it, its not just about the blog posts, the personality, the character nor (god-forbid) the blog stats/ratings..its the genuine warmth and positivity of these bloggers that made me commend them. Yes, all of them are friends..who better to influence you to be the best than your friends right? So without further adieu here’s my list:

1. Recycle Bin of a Middle Child (http://www.recyclebinofamiddlechild.blogspot.com/)- Aside from being a constant companion at events and a blogger-friend, I simply commend how Alex consistently updates this blog. He always has a different take or dare I say “attack” when it comes to writing be it events, advocacy, personal opinions, fashion, etc. (almost anything under the sun) that you’ll surely visit and check out his opinion on his blog.

2. Fashionista By Sai (http://fashionbysai.blogspot.com/) Yep you got me, Sai’s also a constant companion and a blogger-friend whom aside from her uber busy work schedule, she still has time to blog about fashion and has that eye for fashionable but thrifty finds.

3. Surviving Autism (http://survivingautism.net/) Autism holds a special place in my heart because I have two nephews with the same condition. Its hard to explain, that even at this day and age people still has the audacity to believe old wives tales about this condition. Earth is also a constant companion and blogger-friend of mine who has helped bring forth information and no none sense personal accounts about Autism.

4. The Thirsty Blogger (http://www.thirstyblogger.com/) If I crave for travel and food finds I visit Fitz’s site. Its like being transported to different places and having a bite of great food finds and inhaling its ambience without spending a penny. I aspire to have such a food and travel blog like it!

5. The Black Fedora (http://theblackfedorablog.com/) I visit this blog mainly for Michael Jackson stuff but Ryan also posts personal opinions which as she says to appreciate the beauty of life, and if you know me well, I like positivity to the max!

6. Munch and Gulps (http://www.munchandgulps.blogspot.com/) My sister and I started this as a family food blog wherein we share recipes, food finds and the like. Now we get invites to review bars, clubs, restaurants and even new items and promotions before it comes out. A wish turned into a dream, we dare to at least share the “epicurean” life to those who love to eat and drink!

7. Fat Girl No More (http://fatgirlnomore.com/) Ria is one blogger-friend whom I seldom talk due to our hectic schedules but when it comes to analyzing some of life’s questions, I buzz her. I commend her for her patience, her determination and her spirit plus, I am also inspired by her Project Prettify Me!

8. Tales From The Tummy (http://www.talesfromthetummy.com/) I met Richard when we visited his restaurant Ya Kun Kaya in Ortigas. Back then he was curios about blogging, well look at him now wonderful blog full of yummy finds and awesome photos!

9. Bongga Ba (http://www.bonggaba.com/) Though I don’t always see him oten I just visit Dax’s blog and see his take on different stuff like fabulous places, fabulous food..everything fabulous!

10. NomNom Club (http://nomnomclub.com/) A fellow foodie, constant event companion and blogger-friend I am happy to nominate Jonel plus I’m also a member of this awesome food club!

So there you go, my personal picks for this year. I still have a lot on my list but these blogs are the shiznits for me because again, its not just the blog posts, the personality, the character..its the genuine warmth and positivity of these bloggers who has seriously influenced me in countless ways. This is my way of saying thank you!
