Little Nicky on a toxic weekday was therapeutic!
Flick that gave back the spice last Sept. 2, 2009 (Wednesday) 3pm
I woke up past lunchtime after a late night (which was the usual for me..insomniac) of tap-tapping away online for concepts, ideas, etc. and of course updating my blog. After a hearty late lunch made by moi kitchen savvy sister, chugging down my daily mug of java and some jazz music (acquired the night before during Johnny Alegre’s 3rd album launch) I searched my room for any flick to watch.Well, actually I was in search for a “mood” flick because we were to discuss certain legal matters at the office/clinic..which I totally dodged and finished this flick instead (oh come on, I already gave my side) hehe!
I chanced upon a 2000 comedy film starring , directed by Steven Brill. It is the 10,000th year as the current Satan’s rule of Hell. He brings his three sons—Adrian, Cassius, and —to decide who will succeed him as “Prince of Darkness”. The Devil decides to rule another 10,000 years himself so Adrian and Cassius decides to go to Earth and create a “New Hell” there, corrupting as many souls as possible so that when they kill the souls they will have an army of Damned Souls. They escape Hell and freeze the entrance, the Fire Gate, on the way out. When no new souls can get in, Satan begins to decompose. Satan sends to Earth with a silver flask that traps the drinker inside it forever. The only way to un-freeze the gate is to get Adrian and Cassius to return through the Fire Gate inside the flask.
Yada, yada, yada..get a copy of this awesome flick instead and have a riotous time with your family and friends.For me, even if I dodged the meeting watching this flick would have gotten me in the mood to be firm with any (legal or otherwise) decision. Great to watch as “mood” flick before a board meeting, thesis deliberation, classroom recitation, or just before a fight..oops, I mean difference of opinion hehe!
