The Orphan screening
July 24, 2009 at Gateway Cinema

I got my flick invite confirmation just a few hours from the slated screening. And apparently, many movie bloggers backed out coz they thought this flick was hardcore horror in general. I also had apprehensions coz I don’t usually watch gory flicks but based on my research before trooping to the cinema, its sort of a psycho-suspense thriller..OMG just my favorite flicks!
Well, the start was quite weird and gory so you might think oh no it’s another blood and gore senseless flick. But once the plot thickens, you’ll be engulfed in a story which keeps you guessing about the identity of “The Orphan”.
I must say I haven’t “jumped”in my seat since The Ring series and I highly recommend this flick not just for the “jumps”but for the way they treated the story. Each scene seems like its the climax and then it twists again.
The term “fountain of youth” when used to describe Esther” in this flick is an undestatement. There’s something wrong, reallywrong with Esther..oh, just watch it!
Cheers and Godbless! =]
